How to Escape the Conceptual?

I wish to develop a more...poetical? approach to my work, to allow a flexibility of reading into my practice. Why do I always try to pre-empt myself before producing the work? Am I scared of getting into an artistic position where I am unhappy with the direction of the work? Or am I just inhibited from committing myself to a long project? Do I really think I can decide in advance all the possible ideas and meanings in the work before I can make it? No.

Do the work, thinking about it, but do it.
