i) Movement of the eye across the surface, i.e. directions of marks.
ii) Texture of marks
iii) Colour of marks
iv) Shape of marks
v) Texture of canvas
vi) Shape of canvas
vii) Depth of stretcher
viii) Position of canvas in relation to the wall
ix) Framed or unframed
x) Size of canvas
xi) Lighting conditions …etc.
