Thoughts on my Practice
25/05/2013
I've been thinking recently about the reasons I have for making artwork. In a recently shown documentary on Richard Feynman, he was seen in an old clip of an interview saying that at one point he decided to do things because they were fun. On another recent doc on Roy Lichtenstein, the artist said a great thing about his artwork was that it was 'fun'.
Why not make work that I consider 'fun'? Why not do what I really want to do, rather than what I 'think' I should do?
